Patricia Louise Pringle Walton danced her way into heaven in Shreveport, LA on Thursday, April 30, 2020. She was born in Shreveport on June 27, 1937, moved to Harrisburg, PA in 1947 and back to Shreveport in 1956. She worked as a secretary for Gulf Oil and later Mobil Oil. Patricia met her husband, Fred in 1966 after his return from Viet Nam. They married in Tampa, FL in December of 1967, moved to Germany in 1969 until 1973, then to Michigan and finally, in retirement, back to Shreveport.
Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Walton, Jr.; her parents, Angela Gustava Jopling Pringle and Harold Day Pringle. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Slack and her husband, Greg; two granddaughters, Sarah and Sydney; sister, Dee Allegrini; sister-in-law, JoAnn Walton Hobson; and a host of nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
Mrs. Walton was a member of St. John Berchmans Cathedral where she served on the Reception Committee and the Parish Pastoral Council for many years and was a recipient of the Diocesan Medal of Honor, of which she was very proud. The accomplishment she was probably most proud was of the prayer garden at St. John’s where she lovingly tended for nine years.
Private family burial is planned.
